Abubakar Madaki, an EFCC top boss, has been caught up in corruption allegations after the revelation of documents showing huge purchases of properties. Madaki, was formerly a
superintendent of police in 2009 before he was recalled by the current EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu.

According to a report by Daily post, Madaki reportedly acquired several properties worth billions of naira during his tenure before retiring. He bought a house worth N450 million in Wuse 2 and another for a female friend in Wuse 4, worth N200 million. He also bought a land worth N10 billion in Nasarawa state.
In February 2010, he allegedly bought over 61 hectares of land in karu LGA, Nasarawa state.
In January 2014, Madaki purchased over 60.59 hectares of land in Angwan Chediya, Karu LGA, In Nasarawa state. And many other properties.
The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against corruption, professor Itsey Sagay has been petitioned by concerned staff of EFCC. Sagay has ordered an immediate probe on the case.
Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC head of media publicity, when contacted about the case, said he knows nothing about the documents and he speaks about what he knows only. “ I don’t know of any document documents of the acquisitions you are talking about. I only speak on what I know” he said. When asked if the EFCC would take the due process on the case if he was guilty of corruption, he replied by saying “Then the law would take it’s course. But at this moment, I’m not aware of any document.”
