20 year old boy rapes a 9 year old girl on her father’s bed
Segun Olaseni the rapist has been reportedly arrested for
defiling a 9 year old girl on her dad’s bed. This incident happened in New Life
Estate, Sango-Ota in Ogun state on May 21st, 2017
. The victim’s
father, Mr. Adepoju Akinyemi, had reported the matter at Sango Ota police
division after he got back and found his daughter in bad condition.

Akinsola Ogunwale led detectives to the house of the suspect who lives in the
same estate, for his immediate arrest.
Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted having carnal
knowledge of the girl. He said he was close to the family of the victim as they both lived in the same estate. He said on the fateful day, he intruded their
apartment, and met the girl alone at home, and dragged her to her father’s
room, where the deed was done.
The Commissioner of
police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the transfer of the case file to Anti-Human
Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigations and
Intelligence Department(SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
" The commissioner of police has decried the careless attitude of some parents towards their children especially the female ones, and has appealed to the public to take their children’s welfare serious so as not to make them prey in the hands of devilish people", he said.
