Despite the morning rain yesterday, lagosians in thousands went out to witness the “Eyo festival” held yesterday, 20th May, 2017. It was said that the rain was a a sign of blessing, peace and acceptance by the gods of Lagos state.
The festival as part of the activities to celebrate Lagos @50, marking 50 years after which lagos state was created from the old western region on May 27, 1967 by the then Military Head of State, General yakubu Gowon.
