         JAMB CANDIDATE ARRESTED WITH LOADED GUN AT EXAM CENTRE

      A jamb candidate in possession of a gun has been arrested by NSCDC

The NSCDC Commandant in Nasarawa state Mr Bashir Lawal-kano, says the candidate was in the possession of a locally made pistol and two rounds of ammunition. The commandant said the suspect confessed that somebody gave him the gun for safe keeping.

    Mr Bashir Lawal- kano on confirming the arrest told journalists in Lafia on Thursday may 18, that the suspect was arrested at the
Nasarawa state polytechnic centre during a search at the entrance to the hall.

The NSCDC boss said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, may 16, after he was found to be in possession of a locally made pistol and two rounds of live ammunition. He said the suspect would be charged to court upon illegal possession of arms, adding that even registered guns were not allowed at exam centers.
